Strava records the run.Navilo Health records the whole day.

Strava is the best place to record a run. We put the run next to the food that fuelled it.

01

The gold standard for recording a workout

Strava earned its place. If you run or ride, it records the effort better than almost anything: accurate GPS, elevation, segments you can race against strangers and your own past self, clubs, kudos and a social feed that makes people go out in the rain. As a piece of sports software it’s excellent, and we don’t try to match it feature for feature.

Navilo Health tracks runs, walks and rides too. You get a live map, distance, pace, splits, a speed chart and calories burned, and when you stop, that session lands in the same history as everything else about your day.

02

Strava’s depth and community

Segments and leaderboards turn training into a game, clubs and challenges bring accountability, and the analysis on a single activity goes far beyond what we show. If you race, chase PRs or ride seriously, that detail matters.

Its integrations are also mature: watches, bike computers, power meters, heart rate straps. If your training data comes from hardware, Strava is where it wants to live.

03

The half Strava never sees

Strava knows nothing about what you eat. No food logging, no photo scanning, no macros, no barcode scanner, no meal plans. So the single most common question after a workout, did I eat back what I just burned, is unanswerable inside the app, and the calorie estimate it shows has no counterpart to compare against.

It’s also quiet on the rest of your health. No sleep tracking, no fasting timer, no AI coach reading your week. You end up with Strava for the run, something else for food, something else again for sleep and fasting, and none of them comparing notes.

Navilo puts them together. A run comes back with a map, splits and pace, on the same page as the meals around it. Last night of sleep shows up beside today. The fasting timer and water share the dashboard. The AI coach reads all of it, so it can say something useful about why a week went the way it did, and streak freezes and buddy challenges keep you going when motivation dips.

04

Eighty dollars for half the picture

Strava is free for basic tracking and $79.99 a year for the advanced features, which is fair for what it delivers on the sport side. But add a calorie tracker, a sleep app and a fasting timer and you’re running four subscriptions and four separate histories.

Navilo starts free with an optional Premium tier, and the whole lot shares one timeline.

05

Running both, which plenty of people do

This is not really an either-or. If you race, or your club lives on Strava, keep it. Nothing we build is going to replace a leaderboard your friends are on.

What that looks like in practice: Strava for the sessions you care about competitively, Navilo for the everyday runs and walks and for the food, sleep and fasting around them. The only thing you lose by doubling up is that your easy runs sit in one app and your race efforts in another.

06

Athletes versus everyday health

The sport is the point: segments, clubs, race training and hardware data. Nothing here beats Strava at that, us included.

The run is one part of a bigger picture, and you want your food, sleep, fasting and coaching sitting in the same app as your GPS sessions.

Strava questions, answered fairly

Will Navilo Health replace Strava for my runs?

For most everyday runners and walkers, yes. Navilo tracks runs, walks and rides with GPS, showing a map, splits, pace and calories, and puts that beside your food, sleep and fasting. Strava is deeper on the sport side but has no nutrition tracking at all.

Which app has the better GPS tracking?

Strava. Segments, leaderboards, elevation analysis, race predictions and device integrations are all more advanced than ours. Navilo gives you a clean map, splits, pace, a speed chart and calorie burn, which covers what most people need.

Does Strava track calories or food?

It estimates calories burned during activity, but there’s no food logging, no photo scanning and no macro tracking. If you want to know whether you ate back your run, Strava can’t tell you. Navilo can.

What do you pay for each one?

Strava has a free tier with a $79.99 a year subscription for the advanced features. Navilo Health is free to start with an optional Premium tier.

Can I use both apps together?

Plenty of people will. Keep Strava for the community and segment chasing, and use Navilo for food, sleep, fasting and everyday runs. If you would rather have one app and one history, Navilo covers both sides.

What does Strava do that we do not?

Sport depth and community. Segments, clubs, kudos, leaderboards and the huge social network around them are unmatched, and its wearable and bike computer integrations are excellent.

Does Navilo work with a watch or heart rate strap?

No. Our tracking uses your phone GPS, so there’s no watch, bike computer or heart rate strap syncing. If your training data comes off hardware, Strava is where it belongs.
